Background
Ziply Fiber is leader in providing high quality internet and phone services in four states within the Pacific Northwest. After taking over Frontier Communications Northwest operations, they needed to quickly migrate their existing learning courses from Cornerstone to Knowledge Anywhere.
Challenges
Managing all the courses for both internal employees and three vendor partners was one of the biggest concerns, especially with constantly rolling out new product updates and system enhancement training to various audiences.
Solutions
A key strategy in this approach was democratizing the training, so that all course content is set up for each type of Learner to look at whichever line of business they’re interested in. To ensure seamless migration and democratized education, Ziply organized the courses in ways that various vendors could find what they need based on their line of business. Ziply broke out into various universities or separate sites, and the Zipline Vendor University was set up to cascade out content to various audiences.
Vendors were able to manage their people, track completions, and give constant feedback on Learning Paths sent to them using exportable reporting tools. The inbound and outbound Sales teams and call centers were able to control various sites, with content tailored for their needs.
“Our goal was to quickly get an LMS out to both internal and external employees. Whatever you’re kind of starting a company, it’s really crucial to get out information fast and honestly. Knowledge Anywhere’s been really great for managing courses for internal employees and vendor partners. I was really impressed with how quickly we were able to set up what we need and as flexible as the platform has been. Hats off to [the Knowledge Anywhere] team for helping us make that happen.”
