Hello, my name is Evan, and I’m part of the Customer Success Team here at Knowledge Anywhere. In this video, I’m going to walk you through the steps to customize your LMS interface to better reflect your brand and meet your needs. Let’s get started.
First, open your administrative dashboard. Navigate to the settings section by selecting the wrench icon on the bottom left. Hover over Site Personalization from the top dropdown menu and select Personalization. If you have multiple microsites, you’ll choose the one you want to customize. After selecting, you’ll land on the Text and Images tab by default, with the login page as the first section displayed.
If you hover over images or text, you’ll notice blue borders around editable items. When you hover over these items, the border will turn red. This highlights the image or text that can be changed in that area. Click on an image you’d like to replace and then select ‘Choose File’ to upload a new image. Once uploaded, crop the image to your desired size. If needed, adjust the image’s brightness using the icon next to the crop tool.
Next, let’s customize the text. Click on the text box you want to change. The LMS allows for certain formatting of text, like color and adding hyperlinks. Make your changes directly in the text box and press save once you’re done. It’s that simple.
Navigate to the learner homepage by selecting it from the dropdown. Here you can attach a video by replacing the existing link. Ensure the URL is embedded for it to display properly.
Let’s talk about the learner profile. Switch to the Fields tab next to the Site and Images tab. Here you can configure fields based on your requirements. There’s ‘Required’, which makes a field mandatory for learners to fill out before taking a course; ‘Can Edit’, which allows learners to edit the field on their profile; and ‘Display’, which makes the field visible to learners. Hidden fields cannot be edited by learners.
In the options, you can control various elements of the LMS, such as adding a custom URL for your company logo, including social media links in the footer, and other configurable items specific to your site.
And that’s it! With these simple steps, you can personalize your LMS to align with your brand and enhance the user experience. Thank you for watching, and please reach out to our support team if you have any questions.
