“My name is Nicole Deandra Stephenson, and I’m the product training manager at Precor. Precor is designed to help in creating and manufacturing personalized health equipment to help people live the lives they desire. Within Precor, we had a lot of issues with our current existing LMS; it could not assist us in delivering materials and trainings in the way that we wanted. We had problems with limitations, a lot of ‘death by PowerPoint,’ and classroom trainings. So, really, honestly, having a new system to come in and assist us to have more hands-on training to be able to assist our salespeople in understanding and the development of our products was crucial. Learning and having that new LMS system allowed and opened up those doors for a better education and a better training experience.
Merging and migrating with Knowledge Anywhere really opened up Pandora’s box for us. We started off with just a very simple process, a simple thing that we wanted to deliver, and really, it was like hot cakes. Everybody found out; we were showing what we could do, and it ultimately did three things for us. One, it allowed us to have a more streamlined training process. The second thing was that it was mobile; it allowed our employees to have it in their hands and ready to go anywhere. Lastly, our third key point is really where we’re pushing or navigating our customers to, so what we want to do is to be able to educate those end-users or exercisers when they come into a gym.
Because of the partnership that we created, I was able to successfully launch a brand-new learning system, eLearning system, specifically for Precor, and realize on a global scale. Precor has roughly about a thousand employees, and then we’re part of the largest sporting company in the world, which is Amer Sports, and that’s at ten thousand plus on a global scale. So having to be able to launch successfully in North America and then also be able to expand it in three other countries was a huge tackle. However, because of that partnership, it really opened up those doors and being able to deliver that information within six months.
So, what made Knowledge Anywhere very different for me was that customization and that personalization because within an e-learning system, a lot of people can deliver you an LMS, but really what differentiates is that customer service piece and that hand-holding that is needed at times and not making you feel as if you are bugging them. When I met with Knowledge Anywhere and started investigating who they were and what they brought to the table, that’s where I felt a more personal touch and that I had a voice. So when you are looking for a new e-learning system or an online content system, you need to make sure that you have someone that listens to you, that has the same vision as you, as well as always thinking about the future: how can we always make it better, even though today it’s great, how can it be better tomorrow?”
