Knowledge Mark is an xAPI Booklet, or Bookmark, used to track content that you access outside of your Learning System, so your employees can find articles, videos, and relevant material from anywhere on the internet and embed it inside your online training platform. Hello, I’m Jacqueline, Knowledge Anywhere’s Marketing Lead, and today we’re going to be going over Knowledge Mark, our xAPI booklet. So right now, we’re on a tester site for Knowledge Anywhere’s LMS on the homepage, and I’m going to direct you two ways to get to Knowledge Mark. The first way is to go to the transcript up in this top menu bar and go to Knowledge Mark on the third tab. This leads you to a page that will allow you to see exactly what Knowledge Mark is, both in words and also a video, and have the bookmarklet itself. Another way that you can get here is by going to the upper right-hand corner and pressing this little down caret on your user menu. Knowledge Mark will be the third option, and that will also lead you back to this page.
So to track content that you access outside of the learning system, you simply click and drag the Knowledge Mark to have it added to your bar. Once it’s added in your bookmarks, you’ll be able to add content from your web to your learner history transcript. So, how that’s going to work in real time, because this is a test site, this says title bookmarklet. In your LMS, it will probably say Knowledge Mark. All you have to do is drag and drop right here; you see it right here now. Let’s say I was a learner checking out this great article about the new employee onboarding process, and I wanted to have this within the LMS, and it currently wasn’t. So all I’m going to do is while on the site, I’m going to press my bookmarklet, I’m going to accept it, and I’m going to confirm it.
It says that it was successfully sent, and then to check that this is true, you just have to go to your transcript summary. Now each of these little course card titles is a different learning path. If you scroll down, external completions should be one of them, and you can see that we have our sixth checklist to perfect your new employee onboarding process right here. When you click on it, it pops you back out to the page that you came from. And this is a great way to be able to track your external progress within your LMS in one centralized location.
