Everyone, it’s Carson from Knowledge Anywhere. Picking an LMS can be hard, and with so many great features and options to choose from, it’s easy to get lost and forget what’s really important. That’s why today we are going over the three most important areas to focus on when picking an LMS.
- Platform Usability:
Evaluate how usable the platform is going to be for your users and administrators. Start asking questions like: How easy is it for administrators to upload and assign content? Will my learners like and understand the user interface? Are there different levels of admin roles? - Customer Support:
Having continued customer support to make sure your LMS is successful is essential. There’s nothing worse than paying for an LMS that doesn’t work for you and not being able to get the proper support. Questions to ask include: What is the onboarding process for the LMS? How many hours of support will I receive every month? Is there a Support Center online? Will a project manager be assigned to me? - Technical Needs:
Pay special attention to any technical needs that may be required during the integration and ongoing operation of the software. This includes things like data migration, platform integration, and reporting capabilities. The more you learn about the technical aspects of the platform now, the better. Every system is going to be slightly different, so don’t assume that each one is going to meet your technical needs out the gate.
