“If you could describe Knowledge Anywhere in three words, what would they be? I would say initially they’re very competent—very competent group, especially in niche areas that we look for. I find a certainly trust and have trust that we built over time, a very good level of trust, and also friendship. We’ve certainly created some friendships with the folks here over the last decade.
How would you describe your partnership with Knowledge Anywhere? I would say our partnership, you know, certainly there are a couple of key attributes within our partnership that I would touch upon. First would probably be the fact the collaborative nature of it and the fact that it’s a very flexible collaboration. And what I mean by that is, as our business has changed, as our markets have changed within healthcare, and certainly our customer behavior and expectations around education and the complexity of the instrumentation, we’ve had to evolve our solutions. That evolution not only affects how we come at that and formulate those solutions, but it also affects how our industry partners work with us to get there. And certainly, that collaborative and flexible nature has been very key for us.
The secondary is certainly, with the amount of solutions we put out there, there is certainly a shared vested interest in success. Certainly, if we are successful, Knowledge Anywhere is successful; if Knowledge Anywhere is successful, we’re successful. We have a very shared vested responsibility around that success.
And finally, I would say continuity—again, that relationship that spans over a decade, upwards to 15 years, so that you have a shared understanding of what that vision is, what we’re trying to accomplish, so that we can get to a place where we truly understand what it is we need to do, how to get there, and what solutions we’re going to implement. You can’t get that as you’re working with one industry partner this year or another industry partner next year trying to cobble together that long term.
How would you describe the people you work with at Knowledge Anywhere? I would say they’re a lot of fun first of all to work with, and it’s refreshing. We come from a big company like Siemens, so we certainly get a fresh perspective. I also would say they’re very informed, not only are they a lot of fun, but they’re also very informed in what I would term as the cutting-edge solutions and what we’re looking for, certainly the technology integration, certainly the behavior among learners out there where the industry is heading. They bring a very broad perspective outside of their competency areas of doing programming, LMS, content development, so they really bring that together. And they’re extremely confident. And finally, I would say there’s a certain level of honesty there in terms of, and trust in that expertise. They trust what we bring to the table, and we certainly trust what they bring to the table, and that certainly works well for us.”
