“Hi, I’m Mike Keaney from our Operational Excellence Team here at the Hotel Support Center in Charlotte at Extended Stay America. Our purpose is to care for people who are building a better future for themselves and their families.
One way we’re investing in our associate success is by designing immersive training programs that combine practical on-the-job experience along with an extensive catalog of eLearning. ESA is proud to have partnered with Knowledge Anywhere to create Extended Stay University, our training platform used for onboarding, general training, certification, and continuing education. Since creating the university, we’ve seen over 10,000 associates successfully trained in the system, coming out of the experience being able to excel in their positions and experience higher job satisfaction. Some of the training that’s available on Extended Stay University includes training on property management systems, operational and procedural training, general manager certification training, safety and security training, and other training by specific position. Accessing ESU is quick and easy.
You can log into the training platform from anywhere by visiting the Extended Stay University homepage and entering your credentials using the email address from ESA. You can also click on the ‘Forgot Your Password’ link on the sign-in page to reset your password.
After signing in, you will automatically see your assigned training as well as additional optional materials to enhance your knowledge. We work hard to ensure that we provide the best training experience possible to associates in every hotel position, enabling fast, easy learning that allows associates to jump right in. For associates in our critical operation roles, we provide both practical and tactical training to set up our teams for success by creating an exceptional experience for our guests. In addition to the e-learning experience for our general managers, we offer in-person training at our training hotel sites and our Hotel Support Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, as part of our GM certification program. For all associates, as you move through the training program for your role, your progress will be tracked and saved, allowing you to pick up where you left off in future sessions.
