Course Studio

Course authoring, built right into your LMS

Course Studio lets you create courses directly within your Knowledge Anywhere LMS. Build training quickly and cost-effectively, without a complex interface or steep learning curve.

Because Course Studio is built into the LMS, your team can develop, manage, and publish content in one place—eliminating the need for separate authoring tools.

A screenshot of a digital content authoring tool titled "Signature Grapes." The interface shows a web page editor in progress, featuring a header for "Cabernet Sauvignon" with descriptive text. On the left is a "System Templates" sidebar with various layout options. Overlaid on the main editor is a floating image of green grapes, a formatting toolbar, an element selection menu (Title, Text, Image, Spacer), and an audio player widget at the bottom right playing a voiceover file.

The central window offers three setup options: "Start with a template," "Start from scratch," or "Start with a file" to import a PowerPoint. Overlaid elements include a "Select a Course Template" menu showing "Corporate Training" options (Onboarding and Leadership Development), a "Generating Course" progress bar, and a preview card for a "Washington Wines" presentation featuring a PowerPoint icon and an image of wine glasses.

Start building in minutes

Start your course by importing a PowerPoint or PDF, using the Outline Builder, selecting a pre-built outline, or duplicating an existing course as a baseline.

Admin-controlled visual templates help maintain brand consistency and speed up development.

Develop content your way

You don’t need to be a designer to build a great course. As you work in the Editor, you can select from pre-defined page layouts or create your own layout. Drag and drop pages to rearrange content.

Include images, video, and audio, and manage these assets in the LMS resource library. Assets in the resource library can be used in multiple courses, allowing you to standardize and provide easy access.

Collaborate as you write – multiple team members can work on a course at the same time.

In the foreground, a "Course Styling" window is open, displaying options for color presets (Corporate Blue, White Wine & Linen), font selections (Inter), and hex code color pickers for headings and body text. Overlaid elements include three circular profile avatars representing collaborators, a floating video thumbnail of industrial machinery, a waveform play button, and a logo upload prompt.
A user interface for an AI course creator titled "Create your course with AI." The page features two main steps: "1. Upload your materials," with a drag-and-drop area supporting PDF, DOCX, PPTX, and TXT files, and "2. Describe your course," featuring a text input box for topics and design preferences. A "Generate Course" button with a sparkle icon sits at the bottom. The design uses a clean, light blue and green gradient background with a progress breadcrumb at the top showing "Sources > Outline > Course."

Add an assessment

Our LMS is known for its powerful assessment authoring environment, and that environment is now built into Studio. No need to switch tools – assessments live where your content does. Set passing scores, set time limits, limit attempts, restrict navigation, use question pooling and more – all from within Studio.

A graphic displaying an interactive quiz interface and a results summary. The background shows a multiple-choice question about Washington State wine grapes where an incorrect answer ("Pinot Gris") was selected, triggering an "INCORRECT" feedback message explaining that Riesling is the correct answer. Below it, another question shows a "CORRECT" green highlight for the answer regarding climatic advantages. An overlaid results card on the right shows a "Point Score" of 2/3, a "Duration" of 12 seconds, and a circular progress chart indicating a final score of 67%.
A graphic illustrating the translation and version control features of a course creator. On the left, a "Select Language" pop-up shows a dropdown menu with "Español (Spanish)" selected, positioned above a list of the title "Employee Onboarding Training" translated into multiple languages like Korean, French, and Arabic. On the right, a "Version Management" sidebar lists different language versions: English (v2.0, Published), Spanish (v1.0, Draft), and French (v1.0, Draft/Current). The French version includes a "Submit for Review" button and a last modified timestamp of May 6, 2026.

Route for approval

When you’re done, you can manage the review process from within Studio. Route the course to designated reviewers, who can view the course, add comments within Studio, and approve the course when it’s ready for publication. E-mail digests summarize comments and keep everyone in the loop.

Overlaid on the right is a "Comments" sidebar showing a collaborative thread. John Smith asks to add an example, Richard Roe suggests replacing the image with a regional map (marked as "Resolved by Randy"), and Judy A. comments that the page looks good. A large blue "Submit for Review" button with a paper plane icon is visible at the bottom left.

The top section displays a grid of course cards with titles like "Problem Solving in the Age of AI," "Financial Literacy," and "Emerging Cybersecurity Threats," each listing a category and duration. The bottom section shows a course card for "Washington Wines" alongside a vertical timeline of the approval process: "Submitted for Review" by Randy B., "Approved" by John Smith with the note "Good to go!", and "Published" on April 21, 2026. A large green "Publish" button with a rocket icon is being clicked by a cursor.

Publish with Confidence

When you have made revisions and stakeholders have given their approval, one click publishes the course, locking the content and making it available for assignment within the LMS. No need to manage and track SCORM files between your authoring environment and the LMS.

Versioning preserves your work, so when it comes time to revise the course you can create a new version, make your changes, and replace the published version when you’re ready – or create a different version of the course for a different audience or situation.
